Data Safety & Google Play Requirements
We are fully committed to Google Play's Data Safety policies. We encrypt all data in transit. You have the absolute right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 5).
1. Information We Collect
To provide our AI companion services, we collect the following data types:
- Personal Information: Name, Profile Picture, and Email Address when you authenticate via Google Sign-In or standard email registration.
- User-Generated Content (UGC): The chat messages, images, and AI Personas you create within the app.
- Device Information: We collect non-identifiable device diagnostics (crash logs, device model, Android version) solely to improve app stability and performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to operate the application:
- To authenticate your identity and synchronize your Neurons (credits) across devices.
- To process your chat inputs through our secure AI backend (hosted by robust partners with strict zero-retention policies) to generate responses.
- To identify and block abusive or illegal User-Generated Content (UGC) as per our moderation policies.
3. AI Processing and Data Retention
The messages you send to the AI are processed momentarily to generate a response. We do not use your private conversations or personal data to train our foundational AI models. Your chat history is stored securely in your private cloud backup so you can resume conversations across devices.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with essential infrastructure providers required to operate the app:
- Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication, crash reporting, and cloud database hosting.
- AI Inference Partners: Used strictly to generate AI responses (API requests are anonymized and not stored by inference providers).
5. Account and Data Deletion (Your Rights)
You have the absolute right to delete your data. You can automatically delete your account and all associated data directly inside the ManuChat app:
- In-App Deletion: Go to Profile > Settings > Account > Delete Account. This action is irreversible and immediately wipes your chat history, personas, and associated email from our servers.
If you cannot access the app, you may submit a formal Data Deletion Request manually by emailing support@manuchat.online with the subject "Data Deletion Request."
6. Children's Privacy
ManuChat is strictly not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.
